I’ve been tagged by  Pigs Do Fly

I have to say what I do with all my leftovers from making bento. Hmmm, need to get my thinking cap on!

Well, lets see…

Fruit peelings either get scoffed by the dog or they go into the compost bin, same with veg peelings.

Bread crusts get put in the freezer to make bread crumbs.

Leftover cheese gets put back in the fridge for next day or it goes into hubs sandwich (he’s not into bento)

Same with meat scraps.

Cutouts from carrots or any other veggies go in a tub in the freezer. These bits are then thrown into soups, stews casserole etc. It’s common to find stars and flower shaped carrot cut outs in your veg soup!

Leftover rice goes into the freezer as another portion and then used for fried rice dishes.

To be honest, I don’t really have a lot of scraps as I’m not into charaben, neither is small sprog, so any waste is minimal.

Of course, there are times when little scraps just don’t go anywhere except straight into my mouth!
