I decided to make this bento for today as an entry for Hapa Bento’s B.O.M.B challenge.
I made this in my small Red Rabbit bento box. I’m trying to watch my calorie intake, so this box is a perfect size for portion control!
The top tier has some white rice with red shiso furikake. Also included in this tier is a portion of leftovers from last night’s dinner. Slow cooked topside roast, stir fried with lightly steamed broccoli, pak choi and red pepper strips. It has a light oyster sauce dressing.
The bottom tier of my red rabbit bento has cherry tomatoes with a matching red tomato pick, mini baby bel cheese and a juicy red gala apple for dessert. My bento bag also contains a small red bird cup of extra dressing for my beef and a pair of red dragon chopsticks. The bento box is held together with a matching red rabbit bento band.
My bento was very quick to make (10 minutes) as I packed leftovers and I have to say, it was extremely tasty!
For a bit of fun last night when I made this dinner, I served it in my asian dinner set. Small sprog had a blast using her rookie chopsticks! Hubs was quite content to use a fork and I managed really well with my chopsticks. Rather proud of this wee achievement!
